Hey post #13 in this thread

Don't worry about coolant for now it's not like it is below freezing. Water is way cheaper

The fact that we are talking about a PIN HOLE, and the poor guy is in a bind (and has to mind his farm ). Is why I am saying that he could get away putting it off. Pin holes don't leak that much they mostly steam and only after driving for a while at warmed up temps.

If we are talking a full blown leak..yeah time to park the car, put short drives and if the rad is mostly full after the trip and the temp gauge isn't going past the half mark...He can get away with it. Not all of us have multiple forms of transportation, or stuff to fix everything that may go wrong. I have driven with pin holes in a pinch it didn't over heat the car or do any damage.

Not sure if it was mentioned but get the Silicon hoses GregV sells so you never have to replace them again.

I do have a Maxima, but my wife has it during the week. Turst me I am getting a 3rd car so I can focus on restroring the NX to at least 90%. Thing is w/o driving it daily, it becomes hard to find problems or potential problems.

You're replacing both hoses I hope. Not to scare you but I'm hoping your pinhole doesn't go catastrophic like mine did. I replaced the w/p hose but had the smaller hose split a month later. Overheated thanks to the inaccurate idiot gauge not moving as I was losing coolant. I just don't trust any kind of leak down there, pinhole or otherwise. Fix that sucker ASAP.

The car is parked and I am driving the Maxima. I am replacing both of those little ****ets. It appared after I flushed out the coolant. Must have taken away the sludge that was blocking the pinhole to begin with LOL
