fuel tank cover leak remedies?
hey guys,

i thought i had fixed my fuel tank leak. but apparently it's the cover of the fuel tank that holds the fuel pump that's not sealing properly. i installed a new fuel tank seal. no fuel leak for a good week or two.

then today when i started the car i pulled out and saw a long drip of fuel down my driveway. looked under the car and fuel was dripping like crazy! took the protective cover off and saw fuel was seeping at the edges of the fuel pump cover. connecting hoses were dry btw.

anyone have any remedies to fix the leak?? i won't be able to get around to it for a week. so any ideas will help. TIA!

I've used caulk to seal a hole in a gas tank before I don't see why it wouldn't work for that, I believe it was the permaseal in the red tube from homedepot, btw the caulk sealed a 1/4" hole in the tank and has been on the tank for 2 years now
