Thread: misfire/stumble/ high idle

95 200sx ser
car was misfiring under partial throttle but if i slowly pushed the gas down it was fine, i can cruise on the highway and hear a slight misfire

changed: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tps

now car is idling at 2500rpms, i turned the iacv screw all the way shut and the car still idles at 1500, so im thinking i have an intake gasket, or TB gasket leak

just making sure this makes sense to everyone else before i pull the intake off

with the high idle have you checked the vaccuum lines

well there are only like 3 i think (i dont have emissions) and they are all new

fpr/iacv/ and pcv

i figure i must had had a nitrsous backfire or somthin and the intake gasket just now went?

could have something to do with iacv.

with the iacv closed off the car still idles at 1700


a buddy of mine told me his car was doing the exact same thing mine was doing and a fuel pump fixed it, doesnt really make sense to me
but i can change out the pump cheap and easy to see what it does

changed the fuel pump and iacv, the high idle is gone but still has the stumble under load at anything more than 1/4 throttle

No codes I assume?

no there are no codes except for the ones about having the auto ecu


but, i think i've fixed it i changed my spark plugs again just to make sure
and car has zero misfire, im still confused but it runs so idc

pressure test your intake, check for any leaks. Car stumbling under spray or NA? what're your plugs gapped at?
