Thread: Quick 01 SR20 RR engine Quesion..

i aquired a clean RR engine with 54K miles but now my question is.. i know that for a fact the highport intake wont work on the RR head..

now to my question will my highport head work well on the RR block?
and the RR comp. ratio is 9:5:1? it has a 2r head

i need a quick answer since i dealed with the guy so i can bring that engine home..

Ive seen it done and i have a 01 sentra sr20 and yes its 9:5:1

block is exactly the same other than oil filter placement, and that can be swapped for your highport one. No, your highport intake wont fit for sure, but the whole head can be.

thanks guys! well i got the engine, brought it home and popped the valve cover and all i can say is WOW!! so far the cleanest SR i've ever seen.. the engine looks new!! the head is so shiny. and the engine still has fresh clean oil inside.. i wish i could use that head but oh well.. now i know i have very very clean internals with 54K miles...

if anybody is intertested in this engine let me know before i rip the head off i would rather give this engine to someone who would use the whole thing.. here are some pics enjoy..

its going on my boosted b13.. can i use the whole thing? isnt it like the ve motor all i have to do is use my b13 t.b and sensors and rewire my ide control valve.. if i can use the whole thing it would be awesome.. if anybody can let me know what needs to be done to make it work i will..

yeah u should be able to use the whole thing if you swap out sensors
the only real advantage of the RR motor is the head

you can - unless the engine is from an automatic RR car, then you got BIG rewiring iacv issues.
