Thread: issue with ve and tranny

didnt really know where to post but, my ve im swapping has a stud to go into the tranny and my de tranny has a stud in the same place do i remove one, both? how do i remove them they dont have any thread on them

i believe it just to stuck or whatever. pull the one out of the tranny. its basically a line up pin.

thats a dowel pin used to align the tranny. they are pressed in. I use heat and pliers to pull them out.

Curious, where did you get the block from?

Id pull the one out of the motor. It is suppose to be in the tranny.

got it out, i got my motor from jdmenginezone in new jersey for 745 made sure dude popped the valve cover and everything was decent

My SR16 was like that lol I had to take a good look to figure out why it wasn't going on like butter. Just pull the one out of the trans.

Ya leave them in the engine so the plate stays in place.. An dony forget the plate!!

ooh. I forgot about the plate. those pins are very handy for keeping the plate in place.
