Thread: Replacing steering wheel stock

I'm looking at replacing my nx wheel (stupid rubber wheel) with a leather wrapped wheel and going from an airbag model to one where the whole wheel is a horn and not an airbag. I'm told I have to replace the whole wheel stock because of a 'clockspring'. Is there a trick to this, or rewiring necessary, and if I replace the dash with a non airbag one, will I still throw a CEL if the ecu doesn't see the airbag module?

Only issue I had was that my turn signals don't click back on their own. Of course I never intended on keeping my horn either lol.
