where does this connect?
hey guys,

this might be a dumb question but i've searched and couldn't find any pictures as reference. i looked through the fsm and saw that it connects to the AIV but i don't think i have one on my motor or at least i can't find it.

i have a highport sr20de+t from an '93 g20. I was replacing all my vac lines the other day and i noticed that one of the solenoids didn't have a connection. does anyone know where it connects to and if it really matters? my motor runs but has a very low idle (still trying to fix it)

here's what's missing a vac line:

here's my engine bay:

thanks guys!

That's one of the EGR solenoids if I'm not mistaken. Where it connects? I think it connects to one of the three hard lines attached to a bracket on that side of the manifold. I'm only 50% sure about this info though. =/

the bottom of the solenoid is already connected to the vacuum gallery. and according to the fsm there's 2 vac lines that come off the top of that egr solenoid. i guess one of the nipples broke off on it.

anyone have suggestions as to where to connect it?

just get rid of the egr anyways....you probably still pass emisions

check out my egr removal thread in the how to - there's a ton of good resource photos for you there. take a look at your canister, make sure all those hoses are attached too.

DET motors don't have EGR so it doesn't need any blockoff, right?

Hey you need to vent your crank case better, right now it's just venting tho the pcv valve, and that's not a big enough hole. I had mine hooked up similar and it caused a bunch of oil leaks.
