Belt size for power steering removal with UR Crank and water pump pulley??
Anyone know the size of the belt that will work? My power steering pump siezed up and I almost over heated my motor because it burnt the belt up. Being as Im not running power steering anyway that **** has to go for reliability puropses! Anyone know the belt number and brand to make it work? Ive got the belt numbers for the UR crank and stock WP. But I def want to use my UR WP pulley to keep things cooler in the high RPM. Info?

Hmm. I wonder how much these belts cost. It looks like they have a 3 rib 25" on also and another one that may fit also...

Are you using an idler pulley or just pulling the pump? If just pulling the pump there is a huge thread about this that lists all the sizes.

I want the pump GONE. Im just using a belt. I know about the thread and have read it many times from when it was started to now. But it doesnt have this info in it. I want to run my WP pulley. They are all either running stock pulleys or just the crank UR and stock WP.

OK guys I understand you did this a while back like everyone else. But did you have Stock pullys, the UR crank pulley, or did you have Both the UR water pump pulley AND crank pulley in place? If its the two formers then that info cant help me. If its that last one then thats the info im looking for.

I would just put a string around the pullies,as suggested a few posts up.
You could be done already, while you wait for a reply here, lol.(that may or may not be correct)
I recommend putting the belt on, then mounting the wp pulley.Since you have no tensioner without the pump, the belt will need to be tight when you install it.

QFT. Simple solution, and best part is, you can exchange for a different belt length if you don't like the tension. Guys that find solutions and post them don't have special tricks up their sleeves, they just do the legwork
