hesitation aftert 2500rpm, car dies and dont want to start.
I was driving fast, and suddenly the car began to lose power, when I tried to accelerated there was a hesitation, I shifted to lower speeds and the car doesn't responded until died.
I tried to start the engine but the car don't wanted to start, like a fuel problem. I pulled my car to my house (with another car), my car turned to the life when I tried to start the engine in my house.

I checked and found a exhaust leak in the 4-2 header (its aftermarket) because the bolts aren't tightened. I fixed the leak , but I still had hesitation.
I don't want to go out with the car, maybe the car dies again.

The fuel pump works, I hear the sound when I turn the key to the ON position.

any idea?

i have a p0135 code since I buy my car 2 year ago, maybe because I have an aftermarket header.
P0135 - Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

definitly sounds like a fuel pump problem, i had the EXACT same issues on my 96 volvo 850GLT, me and my girlfriend went out for the day drove the car ALL day long went to the store before home, got back in the car to go home and it started and hesitated really bad, i got a ride home and waited till the morning to towe the car back, i went with the towe guy (a fam friend) and we went to the car, i put the key in, turned it to the on position fuel pumped primed started the car and it idled and ran fine, i decided to towe it home anyhow, when we got home with it ,went to turn the car on and nothing again hesitation, and hard start. the towe guy hit the fuel tank with his hand, i turned the key and bam started up and ran fine....long story short i got another fuel pump put it in and the car runs fine.

fuel pumps are VERY tricky, the 850's pump wasnt my first bad fuel pump and they can get really hard to figure out if they are good or bad. and the reason being is the motor after a while of driving gets hot and it starts shorting out and stops working. THEN when the pump cools off it works perfectly fine again.

JUST because you HEAR it come on doesnt mean its not bad, it could be it had enough time to cool off and is working UNTIL it gets hot again.

if the car acts up try hitting the fuel tank with a hammer and see if it starts and runs good again if it does it very well could be the fuel pump

I forgot, but the exhaust gas smells alot like gasoline. More when there is hesitation.

Maybe the timing chain skipped a tooth?

Is it on all 4 cylinders when it hesitates? When it smells like fuel, does it backfire too?

could be o2 sensor, maf sensor, leaking injectors, leaking fpr, clogged fuel filter

Best bet would be to check the MAF plug. If that's not it continue on from there.

Today, I was driving like for 10 minutes, the car felt good, without hesitation, but with some idle problems.
Then, the car lost power again, with hesitation when I tried to accelerate, and the car dies again when I was driving, I tried to start the engine but the car don't wanted to start
I opened the hood, and the engine got very hot, I could not touch the valve cover and the intake manifold. I don't remember that the engine got hot like this time.
The temp gauge needle was always in normal (in the middle).
15 minutes after, I could start the car and I drove to the friend house, I left the car there.
After a 2 hours, I come back and the car starts like nothing happened. I drove to my house, without hesitation problems.
