Thread: oil pickup

So im buildin this motor for a buddy of mine (de-ve-t)and the pickup didnt fit correctly...the support on the pickup was hitting the gridle.After searching i determined the pick up is from a later roller rocker and the baffle is from a early de. am i correct? i massaged the support with a grinder and it fits now.
