im going to back to check today and ask them exactly what they plan to do. From what I have seen this shop does very good work. But at the same time, I could get a shell for a for a little more money, my only problem is having a place to do all the work. I no longer have my garage and this car is parked on the street. So getting a shell and swapping all my parts over is going to be a huge hassle.

have a local dude help ya, throw him some change and swap your **** over.

my guess is this, if that strut housing is that rusted theres gonna be tons of other hidden rust in that car. i bet if you were to strip that car down youd find alot more holes, rust and rot.

^ thats true wayne. if it was my car, that im totally attached to, i couldnt let it die.

600$ dollars for just that strut housing or 600 for all the rust on the entire car ? through in some body work and some paint and youd have a clean shell for less then 3k.

Shut up Stratton. Seriously, this time I had to say it. I love ya bro. But $600 to do the strut tower is cheap. If they cut it out and put good sheetmetal there, it will probally be stronger than the rest of the OEM metal. My cousin does this all the time. I had a hole in my front strut tower seam and the guy who did my body work is the same guy who does work on NYCTA busses. Trust me it is fixable..

They quoted me $600 for both sides. This is after the second time I returned and they actually put my car on a lift and gave it a serious look. The $600 would be to do both rear strut housings. After looking at the car, the shop said they would prefer to do the same work on both sides at the same time. Since eventually the same would start to happen on the other said. They also inspected the car for any other rust issues to see if it was worth it and besided a slight bubble on my wheel well everthing else is good.

Shell. Go down south you could probablly find yourself a clean Sentra E or NX1600.
