Non-OEM Tsurus are crap
I installed the tinted Taiwan Tsurus on my dads car last year.

It fit like crap. None of the tolerances were even close to the factory tolerances (on a car without a collision history). We had to drill new holes to mount the sides of the h/l properly. Then the corners only stay mounted half the time, the other half you have to press them back in.

The nuts that you bolt them into also back out while you're trying to install/remove anything.

---

Recently., the reflector that sets in front of the bulb just popped off and is now just 'swimming' in the headlight, in the pass-side h/l.

---

Some bkd info on me, I've installed real Tsurus (even baked and disassembled them), converted a 91/92 to a 93 front end, and have probably installed/removed an entire front end more than 10 times, so I think I now what the norm is.

---

I wasn't going to post anything before, but the camels back broke when the stupid reflector broke off. These aren't worth merely $100 less than genuine OEM Hella Tsuru headlights. You get what you pay for..

No, since it was my dad's car, I really didn't feel like documenting it, I just wanted to get them in there..

We'll be replacing it back with the stock, though, so we'll shoot them then.

Glad you posted this up. I have some OEM chrome Tsurus and was considering trading down to some black ones but no way now!

Ebay/Generic headlights and corners have always been cheap and crappy. They either fog up, collect moisture, or break on the inside as yours did. And many times they do not light up near the amount the stocks do.
Thats why i found a set of JDM Glass headlights for my B14. Nothing beats OEM, more expensive but better in the long run.

Is there a forum member from the old board that sales these? If so, what is the quality of them if somebody as them. Where is the best place to get the tsuru headlight kit then? Are all the covers glass or plastic?

I had to replace my passenger side one because the screw that holds the paper-clip looking dealey for the bulb broke. The whole thing broke so I had to get creative with the doublesided and some adhesive to make it work. I did mod the grill by removing the center and installing some mesh so it looks alright but when the means are available I'll be upgrading it to the OEM stuff.
