help sentra 01 sr20
my car is acting up....

When I first start it shakes like crazy for about 1 minute and if you heat gas nothing will happen it wont go... it eventually goes but very slow...

it does this shaking thing also on the expressway... no matter at what speed it just loses all power and it shakes...

I thought it was the o2 sensor and i tried to replace it but the damm thing wont come out... i used every tool i can think of till i chipped off the bolt head and now it wont come off...

so basically.... i have the following problems:

1. car feels like i have no power...
2. o2 sensor is impossible to remove...
3. i am pissed off


please help any suggestions are welcome

sounds like a fuel issue, are all of your injectors working?

do you have the cel light on?

the check engine light come on and off... i took it on autozone and the computer said 02 sensor....

an o2 sensor wouldnt cause that to happen, something else is going on .

try getting a scanner and checking yourself

Dude, i can GUARANTEE it's your maf. Spend the $80 because it gets worse.

next time you're changing the o2 sensor do what I do, pb blast it overnight a couple times, take your angle grinder and cut it off to the point where you can get a socket on it.

I agree with the PB Blast overnight but you do not need to cut the sensor if you just by an O2 sensor socket.

does it rev past 3k, thats the best way to know if its the maf. pull ur plugs and could be just a spark plug wire came off. Also was it primay or seconday 02.

Dude, no offense rob, but you're wrong on this one - my sentra revved past 3k with a failing maf, replaced the maf and badda bing.

Dude, after literally 20+ hours replacing stuff on the sentra and their KNOWN maf issues, I bet my fristborn that's the problem.

Anyways, the number I listed above is the proper maxima replacement (upgraded maf from the crappy original) just plug n' play. OH and maf sensor failing doesn't trip a code - a dead one does, but the sentra has stupidly high tolerance of the maf, so even though the car bucks around like a orgasiming woman, it won't trip the code sux.

btw the little paper that says you have to reprogram the ecu when you put the maf in is bogus. I think that's just for the maxima.
