Thread: Looking for new set of brake pads

For my NX. The car never sees the track, just mild fun on the street, might take it to an autox once its running or two, but I know I dont need crazy track pads.

I've used the metal masters before, but they dust way too much. What do you guys recommend?

For your application, I would purchase Nissan OEM pads.

Hiya bud - I agree with Bill. Matt's "semi-track" pads would be fine, sounds like, but for spirited dd and the periodic autocross, I'd otherwise do factory pads.

EBC green stuff..look into it I used it mostly street worked great

+1 for the green stuffs, less dust and good performance, a little noisy at break in but it will eventually go away.

I use Wagner Thermoquiet pads in all of my vehicles. Built-in shims, never squeak, don't generate much dust. The ones for the NX are probably ceramic (Wagner typically matches the OEM formulation).

i second the thermoquiets. They never made a peep/sqeek/sqwelch/chirp absolutely nothing and they are still going after 2 years though it is about time to change them
