Thread: are the b13/b14 becoming a thing of the past?

So a month or so ago I start calling around to places to get my a/c fixed, one shop was like what year, make , model is the car right after I said 96 the guy was like oh jeez that's old, wtf

I also find it funny that autozone has the waterpump in stock but I've been to advance, pepboys, autozone, and bennet trying to find a pcv valve and they all have to factory order it, wtf

When my engine went the spark plug wires melted into the head, so I went to get some new wires the NGK oem 7mm wires are $90, advance auto brand 7mm wires are $63, and magstar 10.5mm wires are $54, wtf

I went to the dealer to get some hard emissions hoses and most of them were discontinued, but I got them from Greg V no problem, wtf

Yeah whenever I go somewhere for B13 parts the min I say 2.0 I already know there's a high percent I'm getting the wrong part.

And at the dealer they never take my word its a original SE-R. They always look at me stupid and as for the vin.

Yeah they say "SE-Rs have 2.5 liter motors stupid".

This was life with my B13. Next time I'm doing either B15 SE or B15 Spec-V. Probably Spec-V.

at my autozone, i have the water pump and pcv valve here. i got just about everything in stock for it. or i can HUB it over if need be and it'll be here in a couple hours.

where in south fl are you? you guys must not have a 'super hub' so to speak. maybe you need me to work down there? lol.

Last time I checked on znet we stock the water pumps here, pcv valves have to be hub ordered or vdp and are douple/triple the price than the ones off the shelf. Axles are phuckin over priced for B13, B14, P10, and P11's. The Core charge is ridiculous. For other cars is way much cheaper.

SR20 headgasket, and valve cover gasket have to be either hub ordered or vdp. NX calipers/rotors have to be vdp ordered in my district, mostlikely at every az too.

I can go on and on....but not going too. I get bored at work and check for prices for our cars, and if we stock or not.

I've heard about these super hubs. I've been to 2 hubs and are pritty big stores, but a super hub now thats crazy!! lol. From what I've heard we have 1 super hub here in SoCal in San Bernandino...which is 30mins away from a DC. For me there about 1hr away from me.

Everything for our cars is getting expensive.

i'd agree op, it's going to get harder and harder to find parts for the B13/B14's in the near future.

when i had my 91 B13, just about every part i needed for it had to be special ordered.
