They make a special tool for doing this, but I just use a needle or something similar. You have to pull away the tab that holds the wires in and use the needle to free the pin. there will be a small plastic tab that holds the individual pin in the slot. you have to push the tab out of the way to free the pin.

I have some very long and very thin needle nose pliers I use to get the job done, but a thick needle or pick is going to work. Those eyeglasses screwdrivers work well I hear. Like Luka said, you need to push the needle into the back of the harness plug (where the wire enters) above the wire on the top of the wire pin. While pushing in, the needle will push a plastic latch out of the way. You need to pull the pin out at the same time that you keep the needle pushed into the top of the pin hole.

Good luck.

It's kind of a pita at first but once you get the idea of what you have to do it's really simple.

The tool you are referring to is what's called an inserter/remover tool....it comes part of what's called a "Daniels Kit" you will have to google it to find out where to buy it, the inserter/remover tool will help you remove the old pin and resolder. In my opinion the Daniels Kit is an excellent kit to have for issues such as yours, little pricey but they save your ass. Also, the kit is user friendly. Good luck.
