According to wikipedia:
In the new Qashqai and C-Platform Sentra the MR20DE produces 140 hp (104 kW) @ 5100 rpm and 193 N·m (142 ft·lbf) @ 4800 rpm
The thing is that:
The MR is a family of straight-4 all-aluminum automobile engines with variable valve timing co-developed by Renault and Nissan. Renault calls it the M engine.
It is only a VVT engine. Not a VVL. Second to that the MR20DE engine can be found on a Ranault Clio III. When I heard that I remembered that the Renault Clio in the 2.0 Version produced 197ps. But to my dissapointment that engine was not M4R but F4R. M4R (MR20DE equivalent) produces 138ps only...
There is a new interesting fact about MR engines. The newly built MR16DDT engine.
The MR16DDT is a 1.6 L turbocharged, direct injection engine. It was introduced on the Nissan Juke small SUV at the beginning of 2010. Output is 190 hp (142 kW) and 240 N·m (180 ft·lbf).
This engine would be very suitable for the EUDM. When I found out about this engine my thoughts were: AT LAST! There is a good starting point! Lets see what happens next. There is also a presentation video about that engine on youtube. I found that engine very promising!
