So I'm BRAND F'in new to the nissan game! I really wana learn about it..I just bought a 1998 nissan sentra base model, with the 1.6 liter motor(dont know engine codes yet) its real clean, and has 142k miles I like it alot and am looking to do some good mods. Info and suggestions will be greatly appreciated..The only thing i have learned so far is that my car is a b14. Lol

Pics of my car will be up soon. Thx

First suggestion is to start doing research. Look up what you want to know and then ask if you cant find the right answers. People are pretty friendly here but you will get ripped if you dont search.

The GA16de is stout but severely lacking in any aftermarket support. I would suggest an SR20 swap or to buy an SE-R if thats not possible.

Moved this to a more appropriate section. drone1, I highly suggest you read over the forum rules and posting guidelines, to familiarize about how things are around here.

As for the GA16DE, your pretty limited power wise, it's a great gas mileage motor though. You have 115BHP or around 100whp on a good day. You can get a header, intake, cam?(not positive on this one), and exhaust. The most you will get out of it is probably 125whp. By that time you would spend around $1k.

SR20VE is great, 160-170whp, awesome powerband, will cost you about $2-3k for a full swap over.

Another option is a SR20DET, this will get you about 160-170whp. Great torque and even better power gains with a bigger turbo and more boost. Will cost you about $2-3k also.
