Thread: quick trans question

so.....turns out i DIDT destroy mytranny like i thought....there had been a bit of aluminum bouncing around inside, bangging around making all sorts of noise. lol, BUT all is weel now i think, looks like the tranny is salvagable. ONE question though, i took the casing apart, and i have a washer that fell out before i could see where it belonged....in the tranny writeups, i didnt see anything about a washer. dont know if it matters or not, the tranny had been dissasembled before, didnt know if it was a factory item or something someone else had thrown in. stupid sounding question, i just swanted to ask before i seal it back up and stick it in my car.

Would really help if you specified what transmission you're running. I took the liberty to post three different transmission FSM documents for your viewing pleasure. Each one of the above documents has a full blown up view of every component of a transmission.
