I was just going to ask for pics. It might not be as bad as he's describing. And go from there

I'd get a shell. Better to start with something straight, then fix something thats tweaked. Crazy amounts of B14's out there. I"m sure you can find one for a decent price. You have all the parts you need sitting in your wrecked car.

Its not that hard to tell you the truth. I've pulled an sr20 about 5 times now. Don't rush. Research what every connection is and where every hose goes then mark it with tags or tape or whatever.

Replace bolts where they belong so you don't lose anything. Read Read read on the two forums. Trust me someone has done a 1.6->2.0 swap before. If you can find a B14 SE-R that is pretty complete you have even less work to do.

Look on crazedlist, autotrader, sr20forum, the dash, nissan forums, etc, etc.

EDIT: Since you said your out of money. Part it out and recoup as much money as you can. Easy sellers are the engine, ecu, wheels, transmission, engine harness.

Id say get very cheap 200sx SE, and swap all the parts...
I say that because I had a bad experience after I crashed my B13 SE-R. Im not from the USA so Im not familiar with the prices of the people who work the cars body over there...
I crashed my B13 and got stuck between a truck and a concrete wall, the results were that the roof was bent upwards in a place, thrased front bumper and both fenders (i think thats the name), had to replace the whole front suspensions, armpits, etc, both doors, the whole car needed to be repainted...
It spend roughly 6 months at the bodyshop, the paint was crappy, the car tends to pull a bit to the left, and I paid a bit over $3000, one very bad call, I did cause I love that particular SE-R, but I regret that choice...
I had to spend an adiotional $1000 to get it right so it wont pull to the left... so I spent a lot of time, money and effort when it could have been so much easier to just get another car for cheap and swap parts...
