Bad ECU? Idle Related
So, I have been having trouble setting my idle, I already have read a bunch of threads about idle troubleshooting, here and in the non dash forum, and still can't figure out what's my problem.

For almost a year my idle has been at 1000 rpm, I know that it's not very high, but what's driving me nuts is the fact that it can't be set lower, I even bought a consult cable just to enter to the timing mode for sure, while in timing mode I can adjust my Idle as low as I want, I am able even to stall the car by decelerating it with the idle screw, but once I exit timing mode, the idle returns to 1000 rpm.

When I first bought the car It had some idle and bogging issues, but cleaning the IACV and servicing the ARV was enough to let my classic performing like a brand new car, and of course I was able to set the idle even without the consult cable, via the old rain dance without problems.

Now, since in timing mode I'm able to decrease idle as I want, I discard vacuum leaks, also, during normal operation, I can see via the consult cable the the IACV is operating at 40%, so for a weird reason, the ecu insists in maintaining the 1000rpm idle. Could the ECU be fried? Have any of you have a similar experience? Any ideas for making the ECU learn what idle speed I want by another method?

Aditional details:

Any input would be appreciated

The idle speed is determined based primarily on the coolant temperature (CLT). If your CLT sensor is bad/flaky, or the wiring connection to it is bad, this could be the source of your problem. The A/C switch and the power steering pressure (PSP) switch also contribute to the idle speed setting.

thanks Dave, at least with my consult cable and obd scan tech nissan, my temperature never goes higher than 205 degrees, and the PSP switch activates when I turn the steering wheel, same story with A/C, when I activate the A/C, the FICD turns on to mantain those 1000rpm

I'm going to check the harnesses again just in case
