That would be the best way, run it out to ~3500 and switch to the other cluster, then when you take it in put the right one back in. How would they know the difference?

i would like to b able to go less then 5000 miles but its not going to happen. i was just wondering if there was any way to do it without being shady about it.

Just drive home backwards...Or go to a mom & pop emissions shop and slip them some extra coin.

Wow 5000 mile exemption is great. I have only driven my se-r 6000 miles in 4 years

how does anyone only drive their car only 5000 miles. the only time i was under is when i lost my license

they own more than one car. or they work very close to home and never travel

Here in luzerne county you can still get it to pass, all they really do in most shops is check your emission equipment to see if its present (I didnt even have my EGR plugged into the harness) and the gas cap, thats about it. Friend of mine has a U12 motor swapped into his 98 and it passes, no one knows what to look for really, they just follow the stickers on the hood.
