Removing Lifters
I wanted to know the best way to remove lifters from the head. I need to bleed mine and I wanted to gain some interest before I messed them up. And apparently the the FSM isn't to precise on the removal instructions.

Thanx.

I have usually just been able to pull them out when i have removed them. Thats after you have taken everything apart already of course .

Does it damage the lifters at all or should I use like a towel or something to protect them?

you can pull them out with your fingers. Not hard, they should come right out, If they give you trouble like they are getting siezed in there you might for one need to replace it, and two just use pliers to grab them carefully and pull straight up.

Ok I will try that. Thanx Ashton...

BTW... if one is bad... should I replace them all... or is it on a need basis?

i would, try to find the newer style lifters if you can as well. Usually found in RR motors.
