Heat wrap is hard on manifolds. Heat stress = better chance of cracked header

Especially if it's SSAC..

i would still wrapp my stuf altho i am turbo, i still feel the need for heat reduction esp for intercooler piping and air intake temps

^That sounds like that could be a possibility. Although like the way the header look when it is shiney, rather than seeing some wrap. I would look into to doing this on a turbo car, not so much on n/a.

P.S. Can you pm me what you did to get your numbers on stock cams and timing?

The thing that I wonder about is the head warping. Someone told me that keeping the heat in like that causes the teperature of the head to rise dramaticly and if it is an aluminum head to warp. Not sure if it is true or not. What do the guys on here who have wraped there headers think.

Been running this stuff from Summit on the B13VE for almost 2 years now; I indeed cried when I hid the gorgeous stainless of the Fuji, but it's downright COLD in there with the wrap, and whatever A/C compressor switch was turning it off b/c of the heat just doesn't bother any more. Over to the driver side there sits a Digital 6+ and an 8207, certainly not worried about those. All the other crap in there that gets fried from all that heat from an open unshielded header just doesn't. No reason for the head temp to rise - the heat's going out the tailpipe and not into the engine bay, and no reason I can think of for heat to be 'trapped' in the head. I read VERY extensively before I decided to do it; I don't know if it's worth the 1/800th of a horsepower it might give (I'm kidding), but the other benefits pay big time for me personally. ps - I DID do it off the car.

Yeah I don't really see what could be wrong it being hotter. I mean the stock header did a good job at keeping the heat in, and it does nothing to the block.

But keeping the engine bay colder is better for the WAI setup

I would buy a BOMZ ebay intake, before I would invest in some WRAP! I give it a 50/50............,but what you think about using this on turbo? What are you basing your post on?
