Replacing wheel bearing help! DIY
I just finished taking a Fidanza Flywheel off and t28 turbo kit off the car to have it "Safety and Emmisions" inspected. It took me a whole week of late nigth working to clear all the codes and have the ECU monitor part in ready mode. The Absolute Presure Sensor went bad and brand new it cost an ARM and part of your legs but luckily I found one on ebay for 50 bucks. So I'm good now I passed the emmisions inspection Now I'm getting the helicopter sound in my car. I jacked the car up and spined the wheel and with my other hand touching the spring I get a grinding sensation but the driver side wheel spins smooth and freely no grinding leaving me with the feeling I have a bad wheel bearing as I have never replaced them before and the axles were rebuilt about 8,000 miles ago.
Now my Question is where can I get a suitable tool to press in the wheel bearings? I checked in advance auto parts special tool rental and no luck. Should I take it to a shop? Do I need a bench vise to do this? I really want to learn how to do this one.
