Tire Question????
I am thinking of buying tires. I was thinking of buying kumho ecsta ast 225 50 r15 for the front and 205's for the rear. My car is lowered 2.0 inches in th front. Do you think the 225's are gonna rub or should I just buy all 4 205's nitto tires and get spacer adapters instead?

Thanks in advance.

not sure about your rub problem.... have you rolled your fenders? you may have to.

just my 2 cents on the tire selection.....

I had Kumho SPT,, got talked into Nitto,,, back on Kumho ASX ,,,I'll never ride on anything but Kumho,, just my preference I guess.

but I say if your spending money on the tires I would go with Kumho over Nitto, unless your getting those Nitto's free

got a friend that has the ast's , he says they have no grip if its cold, but dry and warm there good to go,, (acura integra)

on my Nx these ASX are sweet,, No ride noise and great on wet, real smooth!...

Good luck on your New tire selection.. I have a hook up at discount tire if you need..

Assuming for a b14?

I run 225/50/15 ZE-912 tires and never rub. Run this daily. All 4.

This is with RM/AGX combo.

I'm assuming your car will just be driven on the road, the Ecsta ASX or AST will be great for DDing.

But if you are going to do any competitive driving on street tires, I.E. autox, I'd recommend Kumho XS all day everyday.

A tire rub is the least of your issues. You should be worrying more about the fact you lowered your car 2 inches. I see shortened CSK's and a bump steer kit in your future....

Food for thought, staggered tires = no tire rotation
