Also use some kind of lubricant to help not break injector o rings before installing the injectors into the rail. Do not use motor oil, it will eat it rubber away! Vaseline works, I've even used a chap stick before

All thanks to DCScotty for all these suggestions and helping me save a lot of time!

I couldn't seem to find the black hex tho anywhere. I looked all over lows.. Oh well.. They set it off a little more.

Now should the injectors slide into the rail easy or do the caps help it?

EDIT!!!

Burt Bee's lip balm FTW! Thanx V man... slipped right in

I think I found mine in Home Depot hehe. Usually they will need help of the cap to get right in.

Vadim,

With my recent troubleshooting due to a faulty injector, I could never get the injectors to squirt out any fuel unless I was actually trying to start the car. I have a walbro 19x fp, not sure if that makes a diff or not...I think when you turn to ACC/ON, the fuel pump just pressurizes the fuel lines and the injectors don't actually spray fuel. If he wants to see results, he's going to have to try and start the car. That's what I had to do anyway.

That's the point, you don't want to the injectors to squirt, you are merely checking for Injector O ring leakage . By pressurizing the fuel rail, if the O-Ring is worn or not positioned correctly it will leak right of way. It will leak around the injector nozzle and probably through the top. You do want to make sure your injectors caps are on and tightened all the way, wouldn't want to see any flying injectors .

I suggest this method to anyone after installing new injectors. I kept on having flooding issues when I first went with boost. After talking to DC Scotty he suggested this method to me. After I primed the fuel rail (aka pressurized it by turning the key to ACC), fuel was spraying out like a garden hose out of the 4th injector. Replaced O-ring, checked again, still leaked. Talked to Scotty some more, he said to make sure to use lube, and if all else fails Chap Stick hehe. Tried that out and voila injector stopped leaking.

What happened was, the O-ring was being caught on the passages and starting to rip/stretch. By lubing it, it slid in perfectly into place.
