Car starting problem
Well I went this morning to start my car before class and it doesn't crank.
Tested the battery/starter and both are functional. I drive a 97' A/T SER.
I tried starting it in another gear with no luck and I tried pushing the car to see
if it would start and still nothing. Check all connections and their clean as well.

Any help/input would be appreciated.

Check your grounds, clutch safety switch, and neutral safety switch.

When you say you tried pushing the car, do you mean you got it up to speed and dropped the clutch? Or did you just move it and then try cranking again?

Also, I'd recommend against starting it in any gear for future reference.

I was told to push the car while it was in neutral because the parking switch might of been stuck of something like that. It seems that my starter isn't getting enough power. I checked both connections on it and they're secure. Maybe I'll try jumping the car again since when I had it checked they told me it had a low charge and I needed to charge it.

ah, sorry, missed the A/T part. Have you checked codes yet? Also check the battery connections. Is the starter making any kind of noise when you try, even a faint "click"?

Battery connections are good and I cleaned them as well. No codes showing up. It makes one click sound, but after that nothing.

have you checked the ground to the block? This is just screaming bad connection. The negative terminal connects to a bolt on the thermostat housing, check that.

^ Checked it and cleaned it. Also used jumper cables to replace the ground and still no luck.

If the starter is clicking, you're simply not getting enough power to it for it to crank. It's activating, which means the inhibitor wiring and relays that go to the solenoid are all in good condition.

That only leaves the battery, the wiring that goes directly to the starter/block grounds, and the starter itself. Check and test all 3 of these things, chances are high it's there.

Alright I'll try everything. I thought it would narrow down to those two. I'll try everything over the weekend and come back if nothing works.

Thanks WingmanSR20!

Here's a video of what happens when I try to start the car. All I get is a single click.
