Had my battery tested again and they said it had a low charge. I've been charging it the whole day. You think even though
this is a new battery it could be a dud since it has a low charge even when charged for a few hours (It's an Interstate
battery, btw) ?

Very possible. Everything has a chance of being bad, even brand new. Take it in and get it replaced. If it's new they should do it for free.

If it's not the battery, then it might be bad luck the starter started on the bench and by putting it back in refuses again. You might want to give it a firm tap with a hammer and see if it wil start.

I'm going in the morning to get a new battery if not then I'll get a new starter.
Just to clarify things the second connection on the starter goes on the left correct ?

that circled is 12v to the battery, direct, on heavy gauge wire.
