well i need to get a TPS for it. will it fit any year? or what year should i order?

Get a 1991 or 1992 or 1993 (not 1993.5) TPS and you are guaranteed to get the right part. The same TPS is probably used from 1991-1999 though so it shouldn't matter.
Make sure you order the one for a manual transmission (assuming that's what you have).

The 98 SER non RR has a different TPS than my 95. The 98 has more wires and is physically bigger, it was an auto though so that might be why.
