So from what my understanding is that altima transmission will bolt up the fwd SR20 block but a hydraulic conversion is needed and a tranny mount will need fabrication. If so wha axles would be needed? Also are they actually stronger than a sr20 transmission?

I'm really looking into to this as this may be another option.





George, talk to Gio I think Bailey's Autmotive ran this gearbox on their burgandy SE-R many years ago.

actually. the altima trans is good for circa 300+ howver theres a huge gap between 2nd and 3rd , gearing kinda sucks in them

Gearing... Only a concern for people who don't make serious power.

ashton, cliff, dan, somebody needs to put all this humina humina mumbo jumbo in an organized sticky....that would be awesome when the moment I break my first trans comes.

strength is still a concern for those who break transmissions on near stock power theres an altima in my driveway. sure mom wont mind me stealing her trans.....too bad its an automatic

I disagree, I've have run up to 32psi psi in my KA-T Altima(600ish hp) and never broke any thing in my 50A, the only modification it has is a Quaife ATB diff..
Here's a video at the track on 32psi and a slipping clutch..
