the lacker thinner should work fine getting the paint off...

Didn't put the film on yet. Waiting for some warmer weather. Or if I can get my car into a garage. But I got your number if I have any questions.

you can install that film even if it's snowing ,, I did those headlights in Tn and it was 38 ,,, burrrrrrr lol .. my heat gun kept me going




in fact you can do your tails dry ,, (NO water needed) ,,,, those are pretty easy.. doing it wet is always the easiest way but it's darn cold when it's winter time... if you decide to try it dry and mess up just give me a shout I'll send you some more...

So I finally got around to messing with the tail lights. I tried using paint thinner and it did nothing at all. Not a spec of paint came off. I was rubbing it on the lense for a good 20 mins. Would I be able to just wet sand them to the original clear?

I dont see why not if you want to take the effort to wetsand them.Each time you on to a finer grit,you want to sand opposite(perpendicular?)to the last.After yo get the pint off you can refinish them,too.
If you bought one of te headlight resoration kits it would have the sand papers you need and the final polish...just my .02

After that,you install that sweet film to keep the lenses like new.

And superbrightleds.com FTW. IIRC, they sell the bulbs that have a built in resistor pack or something?

Wet sanding didn't really work well. Is there anything out there that can strip these quickly with minimal effort so that I can get the film on?
