Oh right, I've seen that bit of kit already, I'm just going to gut a spare PS pump and use that as a belt tensioner as I already mentioned. My main query was what people do at the rack side of things

Mine is looped on the driver side of the rack. When you take the hard lines out those 2 spot where it was screwed in with the fitting my friend took the factory fitting and brazed a little metal tube making a U bend. But I'm sure you can just fun a bolt that fits and plug it that way.

One could also find a pulley with the same number of ribs as the alternator belt, re-drill it for the SR water pump, and space it out to align it with the alternator belt, thus only requiring a single belt.

However, deleting the power steering is not worth it without a true manual rack, in my opinion.

I never minded it. once you get going it even feels better, more connected to the road.

if you parallel park alot then I wouldnt suggest it
