Re: P/S Removal
Resurrecting this one again guys. I've leaks coming out of everywhere on my N15 pulsar at the minute. It's leaking from the pump, from the cooler and the rack so figure it'll be easier and cheaper to just remove it all.
I plan to gut a spare pump I have to run as a tensioner, remove the reservoir and all lines leading to the cooler and to the rack.
Most people here say loop the lines and run the car like this but a friend of mine who has years of experience working on cars for all sorts of purposes Is telling me to drain the fluid from the rack, put something over the In/Out of the rack to stop contaminates getting at the internals and then pull back the steering rack boots and cover the rack with lots of synthetic grease to protect. Sound like a bad idea or does anyone else run a similar setup?
