If the pump is offered with a warranty and that hasn't run up yet then you should get a replacement for free. Otherwise you'll have to purchase a new one.

Once you have the new pump you can remove the old failed pump and replace it with the new one. For directions on how to do that, contact the manufacturer on the electronic water pump kit.

Personally, I am all for a belt. You can easily inspect a belt while inspecting an electric P/S is a bit harder.

That is true, I wouldn't pull the P/S out of my daily for sure. I only pulled it off my race car. If it is leaking, replace the rubber hoses coming from the reservoir, 90% chance it is them.

Yah mine was leaking when I bought my car. It was from the high joint by the strut tower. New copper seals and a hefty pull on the wrench and all has been fine for 6 years.

So my question is, do I need to still swap to a manual rack?
