Why the need to not drain it and replace it, anyway???

Working on the side of the curb :P.

Anyways, I'll see if I can find the filler-cap. Or just pour it into the hole where the speedo is mounted?

M0J0, what ever comes out, you need to put that much back in whether that is re-using fluid or with new.

Really? Because I used all 4 quarts of my shockproof heavy to fill up the tranny...

EDIT: And oh yeah, we live in AMERICA, use the standard system

I'm not, I'm from Europe.

And a whole lot of countries use the metric system :P. Only Great Britain and USA don't :P.

Anyways, the Axle thread lacks pics

What kind of sealant do I need? And how big is that wrench for the oil drain plug?

You don't really need any sealant, but some Grey RTV for the drain plug isn't a bad idea.
The drain plug basically uses a 1/2" (12.7mm) drive socket wrench. It is a square drive with 13mm sides to the square but the 1/2" drive works quit well over and over again.

The fill/check plug is freakin' crazy. It is not a 3/8" (9.525mm) square drive like most people think. It is a 10mm square hole. Usually a 3/8" square socket drive wrench will work, but quickly that will ruin the hole because it is slightly too large. Some people like to wrap the 3/8" drive in a strip of aluminum from a cut up soda can to make up the difference. Others like me got sick of that and bought this: NISsport 10mm Gearbox Fill Plug Tool

But it seems to be discontinued. =(

Okay, thanks.

One last thing, apparently, there's this bearing in the tranny that's supposed to give me some headache, any toughts?

Don't worry, was an intentional joke I'm a believer in the metric system vs. the imperial system.
