Coolant lines to heater core
So, after a bunch of digging around on my car today, my fingers are a bit cold (5deg outside) and I think I've found my heating problem. Seems the coolant lines to the heater core are a bit pinched. Here's why:

200SX (B14) originally had lowport motor. It now has a highport, and the connections on the block for those hoses are in a different spot. I have the same lines that connected to the lowport on there currently, routed under the intake/throttle body, and where they connect to the hard lines on the head, they make an awkward turn up and have a slight kink in them, enough to significantly restrict the flow of coolant.

So, the real question, how do I deal with this? Do i need to go and replace the hoses entirely with ones for a B13? OR is there an easier solution I don't know about? The sooner I solve this the better; it's tough driving and the car never puts out hot air

Post up some pictures of how it is now... and what it needs to be

The front hose you see there needs to get that kink out of it. The rear hose to the core is fine.

I can try pushing that hose further up the connection point, but I remember trying that once and having no luck. Always worth a 2nd shot I guess.

yes
loosen the clamp.
move around the hose until you get it straightened out.

If that doesn't work, you could try the super ghetto fix. Put a hose clamp around the part that is crimped and tighten the hose clamp down until it forces the kink out of it. Worth a shot. Wire zip-tie might work as well.

All else fails, replace the hose with universal hose, or buy the high port hose.

well, after endless painful pushing and tugging, and alot of heat from a blowdryer, I think it's good. We'll see how she does today, I might be back tomorrow.

If it's still not fixed, it looks like it might help to shorten the hose by an inch or so. But you are probably not looking forward to opening that connection.

The easiest solution might be to move to a warmer climate.
