Thread: old skool sentra engine swap

im thinking about making a 1989 2 door sentra a track car with a sr20. im pretty shore the ga16 is a pretty straight forward swap?? true???? but if i purchased a 1300cc 1400cc sentra will that be the same straight forward swap. there cheaper. hope u can help thanks

Dude, get an SR20 along with trans/harness/mounts/ecu/maf and so on and do that swap. B12 SR20 swaps aren't really bad. Only thing is the dash side harness plugs (for oil/water warning and speedo and so on) don't match up and you wire those direct. Other than that, pretty simple if you ask me. You would use SR axles and your stock hubs should work if I remember right and you can bolt on AD22 brakes.

yes the stock hups work, on the 1.6 89's atleast, but i think they're all the same. i did an '89 sr20 swap about 6 years ago, from what i remember it wasn't hard at all.
