Thread: 2008 Convention

I'd be down for a drive out to florida.

I know me and the girls and a couple others (listening Rodney?) are going to Vegas for 2008. Remember that it is the SERCA convention, not the SR20forum convention. At this point, I will continue the planning for Roebling Road in Savannah for 2009. And I still have the list of those who said they would help out, I think all of us are over here at this point.

I agree with dad here. I think we should all still go to Vegas no matter what forum we are on. After all, everyone is saying we are a community, why not get together as one?

Other community? Bridge? What other forum? This IS the sr20-forum.

The SERCA convention is a separate entity from either forum.

I'd love for the Florida guys to finally step up and make a se-rious effort to organize a convention there, I haven't been to that state since 1981.

I heard rumors of the convention having some issues with funding for next year. Is this true?

If its in Savannah, GA in 2009 (because there have been people to step up and volunteer to organize) there's no reason for FL people not to come.

Savannah is like the lower tip of GA. Doesn't that state border FL?

I agree, I think Savannah is close enough to Florida for the Florida people to come to the convention. If people really want to visit Florida, it is close enough to take a few extra days vacation and go.
