I think they try their best to rotate the convention around. I was in PA/NJ in '06, then Chicago in '07. It takes a lot more planning then most would think to actually pull one of the conventions together. I know before the 2006 convention really officially started they were talking about Vegas in 2008.

I'm sure there are SERCA people in Florida. They should approach the proper people about a FL convention. They would probably be glad to help get things rolling.

Yeah, the Southwest/CA has had so many conventions. I think they are up to 1 so far, with another on the way. They are such hogs with things. Why don't we have it on south FL, where everyone, except the locals, has a ~10 hr drive. Until there are people from FL that actually go to the conventions, minus Will and his girlfriend, and people who are willing to step up and organize it, there won't be one in FL. Nothing is keeping you from organizing your own deal. I would love to travel down there again. Every time the convention is brought up, you seen to play the martyr in that there is a conspiracy against FL. When are we going to see you at a convention?

Well if they had 1, 1 is more than none. You can keep that frame of mind but the last 2 conventions barely had any cars. You could pull more cars right here in S FL than in most conventions and we are in the twilight of the SR20 equiped car.


I use to go to hang outs 8-9 years ago with well over 50-60 SR20 cars haning out in 1 spot on a weekly basis. You can state as many point as you want but .....

So let me get this straight, since we no longer like the sr20forum ownership, we're going to ignore, abandon, and forget about the rest of the sr20 community? since when was this decided? I prefer it here, but our organization in events and such needs to bridge between the two forums now. Which means for this year, the Vegas venue needs to stay. Next year's location is up for grabs, but just because we made a new forum doesn't mean we should go around burning bridges. Hell, I'm driving to Vegas from Wisconsin and you don't hear me bitch about it, do you?
