I know the usual thing is to change around where its located but i think it would be more logical to have it smack dab in the center of the united states. That way its not as difficult for the people on the far ends of our great nation to make the voyage. I mean its not oregon trail, im not worried about losing my family in the rapid streams but it hurts me to drive my ser for more than 10hrs. I feel bad for her, shes gettin old. Sweet 16 was in september.

isnt SERCA the one that sets the Location & Dates for the convention.

btw, La Florida is too far, I vote for Cali or the SouthWest...

I've thought the same thing. Many other national conventions are held in Texas due to it being convenient for such events and more towards the middle of the country. It depends on the motivation of the convention and the reasons why it moves each year which I do not know enough about.

It sounds silly but Kansas would be central for everyone.

This is my planned route (if we still want to do Vegas with everyone else on sr20forum), with the option of substituting Des Moines with St. Louis if it helps more. Since there's only a thread and not a section, I'll put it here and edit it as we change plans and get more people involved.

Starting in Madison, WI
I-94 from Madison to Milwaukee
I-94 from Milwaukee to Chicago (82/115)
I-88 from Chicago to Des Moines (140/526)
I-80 from Des Moines to Kansas City
I-70 from Kansas City to Denver (599/604)
I-70 from Denver to I-15 to Las Vegas
Ending in Las Vegas!!!

Note: Red shows toll road routes, with tolled miles vs total miles in parenthesis

I'm all for it, I was kinda looking forward to Vegas, but if we dump it I guess it'll be a smaller crowd and such...eh...

Yes. The forum is not dead, and I hope the convention is not dead either.

SERCA

The convention needs to move around so that the diffrent people in diffrent parts of the country can get an easy chance to get to one.

Cali and the SWest has seen its fare share of conventions.

It still amazes me that FL has the most SR20 cars and we still dont get consideration.

Thats a real problem to me.
