Yes it is.

Public or private interest. Check. Using the SCCA model again, it is a private club. You have to buy a membership. It makes a profit. It has to in order to be able to continue operating.

Once again, it's primary focus is NOT profit, but that does not preclude it from making a profit.

Like I said, you do not understand what a non-profit organization is.

Look, this is how it is: a lot of FL guys feel disenfranchised. They don't feel SERCA has given them the time of day for quite some time. Here's the solution, FL guys and whoever else who wants to have an sr20-forum related convention in FL then do that ****. If you feel that FL is dead to SERCA, then SERCA is dead to you so might as well make your own **** happen. Open to all sr20-forum/old school sr20forum members, a FL convention could be had. Who is stopping you guys? Stop the bull**** by not feeding the bull. It's obvious there's stubborness and headway is not going to be made, so take care of your own. Something that should be happening more often these days and not just for this situation.

On a sidenote, there seems to be a lot of parallels in this situation to what's going on in the world on a global scale. Funny coincidence.

FL will hold its own comvention every year right on the same day as the National convention. No back dealing, not stealing.

There will be costs for the events Posted.
There will be a Doantion started to clear the costs
There will be a amount of money sent it clearly marked by its memebers until the costs are satisfied and then all money donations will be cloesed untill next year. How hard is that.

The Forum members are in the loop[ they know what is going on and their money is accounted for. I guess it is to honest for some.

2-4k for a track rental is a very low number. To rent Autobahn, the track from last year was 9k.

I understand the mentality on the top, that what I understand.

Whe I was in the Islands, I was part of the scooting organization. We posted a budjet every year in the newspaper to collect funds for events. When the money went over the budjet we gave it back to the community if free stuff as food events and so on. At the end of the year we were at square one $0 and all funds were posted as to where they went and and how they where spent.

I have seen to many private organizations that have pull the wool over peoples eyes and have not answered to anyone with their scamish ideas.

Track rentals are in the general relm of $2000-$4000

You are selling food and drinks, that is great as the costs need to be payed for.

You are selling T shirts again another cost paying move.

From what I am seeing, the convention as a hole can be payed for from guys going on the track, food sales, T shirt sales and raffle ticket sales. Is this a fare statement.

That being said what was done with the non profit money for yearly and life time membership collected over the years. I though that this thing was non profit. $30 is alot for a sticker and maybe a pc of paper.

Bumped. Just incase anyone missed it.

What does everyone think about this?

Anyway dont fear FL will have their own FL convention along side and National convention on a yearly basis.

We will do our own thing.

Once again, why would you want to create this division?
