You gave us the facts. You've shown us why you deserve to host a convention. And I agree. But when was the last time someone made an honest full effort to have it come there? And by "honest" I mean actually doing the work in advance and get planning in at least a year if not more in advance as opposed to yelling about it on the forums when the location is posted. I for one 100% support the convention going to FL, but someone there needs to start planning NOW for '10. If you wait until after Vegas, I can guarantee it won't be there in '10. You need to start now.

Y'all might need to just let it go then because I don't think you are really pursuing anything to a resolution.

It does feel like to the rest of the country that you guys keep saying "its not fair" and "why can't we have a convention" when nobody does anything about it.

Hey, wouldn't it be nice if we just said " Phuck SERCA" ? All of the Florida ppl organize our own " convention " somwhere in FL?


One year have it in Orlando, the next year have it in WPB, the year after have it in Tampa??

Kinda like Cosa Nostra ,for the SR20 ,by way of Florida. I would have no problem in putting in work to make it happen!! If i can drive to Miami 2 hours away to buy a tranny and a MAF from Dre, i can drive anywhere in FL!

I mean seriously, how can we plan for a convention that is 2 yrs. away?

Employee: Umm.. that is 2 yrs. away...
Me: I know....but these people told us we need to plan for 2 years ahead of time & it is not a 100% thing because we are not promised to hold a convention...we are just praying.

Plain and simple, back in November 2003. Serban, Rob, Mario, & couple more people planned a meet which served over 300 Nissans. It didn't take them 2 yrs. to plan it either.

Dre, you can add Mario to the list. He attended NYC with me.

Thats all bull****. You want to have a convention and we put the state up for a nomination and every other state gets the nod and they still keep putting others up infront

First to have a convention, there needs to be a definate yes that it is going to that state.

So, if it has never seriosly been said that we can get one why the hell are we going to plan. Plan for what? So another state can get it. Its all bull and you know it.

When someone can say the state of FL will get one in a specific year, then the state of FL will make plans.

Yall act like people are broke and cant get the money together. You give anyone a years notice on this and it can be done within a month to paln with the tracks and come up with the money.


Let me say it again there are steps to this.

1. First you nominate a state and the year.
2. The state makes plans.
3. The convention happens.

No nomination, no plans.
