Thread: 2008 Convention

It is a fair representation. Just like when polls are posted. A sample representation.

Just recently we had a little FL meet which a little over 20 SE-Rs showed up. Personally, I know a good amount of SE-Rs that were missing from that FL group. In 2003 we had over 300+ Nissans at the meet with atleast 75+ being SE-Rs.

Yes, and you are truly anoited, I can attest to that, but the subject was "Convention" and "SERCA". You compared them to Gov't so I gave an analogy. Please do not let me go to the store, buy some Frank and Mhyrr and start burning it throughout the house. (I do need to buy some though, I ran out)

Ok guys this is getting out of hand. The convention is SUPPOSED to be in Vegas this year. No matter how much complaining they are not gonna move it to Miami Florida because they have cleaner or more cars. I see your point Dre dont get me wrong bro.. You know I think alot of you but, be honest if there was a convention in GA would you attend??

Just because you can pull together cars does not mean you can throw a 4 day event. I know we are no way equipt to do that.

I do not think they are asking for it to be moved/changed, they want to be considered seriously for another year.

You know you and I are friends also, but there is no where in any statements by me or any FL people that said we want the Vegas convention moved to FL nor have I said I want the GA convention moved to FL. If you can find any statement like that you are great. So the challenge is out for you to find it.

I will not attend any convention until justice is done. I have made this plain and simple. It does not effect me what so ever. I am the mouth of my fellow FL brothers.

So how can you make a statement that we could not do such a thing.

We must really look helpless and hopeless. As long as the people are coming setting up an events is no problem anyway.

Its simple Onedrag strip day, one road course day. one picnic day and one day to gather and driv e the FL spots cars lined up one behind the next.

Conventions have been mostly 3 days so dont stretch the thing out.

Anyway we dont want it anyway. keep it we will do our own thing FL convention. On the same days as the national convention.

How about some Florida guys come up with a plan for 2010. You don't need to have the whole thing down to the exact minute, just a basic outline of venues and such. Then come to the '08 and '09 conventions if you can make it and just talk to people, you know spread the word about your plans. The next thing you know everyone will be geeked about it and bam you're in. Thats how your area gets chosen to host a convention.

No Dre I think you took what i said the wrong way. It is a little unclear to me the reasoning behind all this. I thought it was just about the traveling time. I thought you werent down for all the hours on the road. If you have a track day with something to do for 3 days at the same time as the convention I would have no choice but to come down. It is a whole lot closer for me. I guess when it is all said and done I just dont understand. And my statement about moving the convention is because of all the BS about having it in the NE, Vegas, Fl, GA. If you plan something Dre go through with it and I will be glad to attend brother!!
