Thread: 2008 Convention

comparing your Florida MEETS to the convention is like comparing our Oxnard, California MEET to the convention as well. It's not the same thing. Florida people are missing the point. If you represent yourselves at the Conventions, then there wouldn't be a problem with you guys hosting one.....plain and simple. Since SERCA is not taking any new memberships and slowly withering away, I'm sure it will become a forum convention as long as the funds/resources and interest is there. We'll see how it plays out. It's sad that Florida has some of the best looking SE-R's, which takes time and $, yet can't fly or drive out to the conventions.

Florida people just leave it alone and give up as we can hold our own damn meets and pull the same amount of cars or more than a convention

It doesnt matter to me where the convention is I am gonna attend. I honestly feel like if in 09 Joe, myself, and a few others get it all together and have a convention in Georgia I feel like there will be complaining. I mean there was one in Birmingham in 03. I fell that is within driving distance for anyone if Florida. I would like to see the convention in Vegas, then in Georgia, then on the east coast say like North, south carolina. Of course that is down the road.

And yes it does matter, you guys seem to think it is all about a "car meet".

It's more than just sitting around in a parking lot looking at cars. The convention is SOOOO much more than that and until you attend one you will have no ****ing clue what you are talking about.

It's not about how many cars you can "pull" to your "meet".

Its a damn SER-SR20 convention and dont fool yourself. We are here on this forum becasue of the cars thats why we are here on the forum. We are here to help eachother with these cars and talk about our cars. If you did not have one of these cars you would not be here you would be on another forum.
