91' speed sensor signal
Hi!

Any people have info about the 91' SR speed sensor signal? I need what is the signal voltage values?

Thanks!

91-92 speed sensors are mechanical..... They use a cable that goes fomr the tranny to the cluster, no electricity.

Yep i know... but how read the speed on the consult? On 93' what is the values? My plan is create a custom board for old chasis with swaps (ex. for Launch Control BIN).

Thanks!

The Speed Is Read Threw The Gear That Attaches To The Cable Itself Goin Into The Tranny...

Ok, I'm interested in this info because i planning use the ECU (Launch Control BIN) on B11's with swaps. I edit a "Test BIN" for the test and the launch control working, the ecu have a "code 14 - Speed Sensor Open Circuit". The speed sensor ("Speed Sensor Close Circuit") is my next step. My really question is: How i can found the "Close Circuit" on the ecu? I think with the close circuit @ 0.0 KPH, next; use a little "push botton" for the "open circuit" and the LC work on the ecu....

Thanks!

Built into the speedometer, pin 32 at the ECU , yellow with green wire .... should be a 0 5v 2x per revolution .... ( Not 100% sure on 5v may be 0 12v )...I usually check with a scanner ....

yeah even though the speedo is mechanical driven by a cable the cluster itself has a board in it that converts the speed signal to give to the ecu. How do you think the ecu knows when to speed govern on the early model g20's. lol.

Like Shawn said there is a signal wire going to the ecu. Dont know the duty cycle of it but thats something that can be found in the fsm im sure.

I think 5v to the ecu is maybe 8mph, i'm not sure but i can use this info for my test.

I cut that wire since i was getting mad that i kept getting speed cut in 4th gear.....
