Thread: Recommended injector cleaners?

Has anyone done business with an injector cleaner that they recommend? We have a company that my work uses, but according to their website they do not service side-feed injectors. Plan on sending out my extra set of injectors next week to see if that will fix my idle problem.

I hear to stay away from them.

Shops who service injectors? Care to explain why?

I think blackb15 is talking about a place to send his injectors to have them cleaned. Not dumping some fluid in his gas tank. =]

over the countless years I've been on these boards and playing internet mechanic I have seen this pop up a million times www.CleanInjectors.com - Accurate Technical Services, LLC.

Personally though I have never had a need to clean my nissan injectors and I must have racked up well over 400k miles on various nissans.

i have found the best way is to pull them out, and let them sit in a little E85 for a while. and use a old toothbrush and scrub them a bit. and even add a little e85 to your gas tank (you have to retune. you will run lean if you are not carefull)

That may not be my problem, but I might as well. Not too expensive to give it a shot and for a little peace of mind.



Still on the stock computer, so think I will stay away from that.

Yep, I sent them a set of 220k-mile injectors off my '93 SE-R parts car to have them tested and rebuilt, and they flowed just as well before as after per their own test results. Pointless exercise.

^^^ Thanks for the info. Guess I'll plop down the $130 for a new IACV and see if that fixes the problem.

ya from what i've gone through, once the injector stops working, swap it out for another..
