Wheel Wobble Noise form the Rear
Ever since I took the car down to install the T28, I've had a wheel wobble noise coming from the back.

It gets noticeable at 40 MPH, and very loud at 70. The car stood on back wheel for about 3-4 weeks when I was installing the turbo. This is nothing new though, I've had my car stand on just back wheel (jack stands in the front) for months at a time before without a problem.

Here is what I checked:
- Balancing weights
- Wheel Bearings are pretty new, I checked them for movement when the car is jacked up
- Looked over the tires for any weird items and still nothing.

I'm starting to run out of ideas, maybe the tires developed some flat spots and need to be rebalanced? I would say it might be my exhaust, but it's definitely a rotational sound.

Double check lug nut torque.

Flat spot would be heard and felt. To double check this, swap tires front to back and see if the noise follows to the front. You might feel it more up front too. Flat spots can't be fixed with balancing and require the tire to be shaved or more likely replaced all together.

The tires could just need re-balancing if they're around halfway through their life.

The noise could easily be a "warped" brake rotor or something brake related.

Hmm haven't thought about rotating them, have been more concerned about making sure the wheel bearings are fine.

Rotors in front and back are just about brand new

I bought brand new brembo rotors and the front right one warped coming down from 140mph about 2 weeks after I got it. I spent the money to get good rotors and I get ****ed. Its still warped because I cant afford a replacement lol. However the shaking isn't very bad as it is only slightly warped but you can notice it more while breaking the whole car shakes. It may just be a flat spot on your tire.

+1 on the flat spots. I have a friend who had a similar issue and spent a long time only to eventually find out it was flat spots.

How are you balancing your wheels? Try switching between static and dynamic weights. Your wheel may just be bent a little. I balance wheels in my job and I know a lot of places will leave a wheel .25 gram unbalanced because of laziness.

usualy the old style tires get flat spots, the newer stuff is suppose to resist that.. i've had my cars sit for months on end, after 5 mins of driving they're fine.. could be a defect tho..

Drove the car again yesterday, can hear wobble but can't feel it. I wonder if it's my exhaust just moving with the wind, the hangers are getting a little weak.

Thanks to Ben Fenner I also finally found out that my hand brake was overtightened, thus causing extra friction on the rear wheels.

I wish I could do that myself, I'm at the shops mercy... They balanced it with the weights that go on the outside or the rim, sandwiched between the tire.

Interesting, I've had the tires for a year and car has stood plenty of times before, so I'm doubting it's flat spots, maybe that was the last straw?

Pretty new AGX's with Road Magnets, installed earlier this summer. Though when I am jacking up the rear passenger side I did hear a clunk sound, I I remember having some issues with threading on it before when I was installing it.

maybe take it in for an alignment? idk.. not much to go wrong in the rear.. maybe check to see if the thin metal backing plate behind the rotors are straight.. just a thought lol..
