Thread: Resonator/Muffler

Looking to install a larger/ longer resonator in my B-13 mid-pipe. Checked vendors ,but didn't see anyone offering a 2 1/4 in 2 1/14 out, perforated core resonator or 4 or 5 inch round muffler 24 to 27 inches in length. Does anybody know if such exists and who makes it ? thanks for any help.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but maybe get two 2.25" to 2.5" slip fit transitions and then you can take your pick from the much larger selection of 2.5" resonators?

MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust
#10425 is 4" round, has 18" body, 24" overall length
#10435 is 4" round, has 22" body, 28" overall length
#12865 is 5" round, has 14" body, 20" overall length

I used #12641 on my turbo car, 3" in/out, 6" round,
30" body, 36" overall. It hangs a bit low, especially
on a lowered car, but it is pretty quiet.

^WIN! It's on my car right now....24" overall is the most you can go with a stock size cat on a 91-94 B13.

You guys and your 6" round cans are brave. =]

^Do tell why? I thought about going to 5" round 2.5 x 18 x 24 overall to see the noise difference, but the 6" did the job. I'm done with the exhaust on the daily.

I've seen the amount of room in that exhaust tunnel and it's not much especially towards the back. 5" is as big as I'd go... but I like a bit of room for error. If only we could find square resonators. =]
