lol, so just like i said huh. haha Its simple stuff man. You can only backtrack it to one source for that to happen. Its very rare that wires just loose their insulation and touch each other unless its an older mercedes, haha.

Or you have issues with mice like we have here, I see and fix it all the time. What a pain in the ass, can't they just stay in the basement and the attic instead of people's cars?

well then you just look at the harness for places where its chewed through haha. Ive seen that one time on a tundra that came in that was a snowbirds from up north and the starter sits under the intake manifold. Sure enough it wouldnt start, battery was good, so it came down to it was with the starter or wiring. Pulled the manifold and sure enough there was a nice nest under there with three dead mice. The starter wiring was chewed completely through. That was a nice repair bill for the old guy, haha. 3 hour diagnostic and labor charge alone plus the new power cable. haha.

this happens in b15s too. it wont let you set cruise control if one of your bulbs has shorted out.

I literlay parted my car out for this! Luckily it was only the ECU, Fuel rail, and turbo I sold. All needed to be upgraded anyway!

By chance when you were having this issue did the dash light dimmer switch dim your brake lights as well?
